'Maulud within Maulud' in old Mekah

FOR centuries, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, upon him blessings and peace, was celebrated in and around the actual house in Mekah where he was born. Since the Arabic words for "birthday" and "birthplace" are one and the same, it was literally a "Maulud within Maulud".

In his book Akhbar Makka the third-century historian of the Mother of Cities, al-Azraqi, mentions as one of the many places in Mekah in which the performance of salat is desirable the house where the Prophet was born (mawlid al-Nabi). The noble house (located in what became known as Suq al-Layl, Shuaab Bani Amir, Shuaab Ali and Shuaab al-Mawlid, present-day Qashshashiyya Street in Mekah), belonged to his father Abd Allah by inheritance from his father Abd al-Muttalib, then passed on to the Prophet himself. It is said that the Prophet passed it on to his cousin Aqil ibn Abi Talib in whose hand it remained even after the conquest of Mekah.

Aqil's son sold it to Muhammad ibn Yusuf the brother of al-Hajjaj. He expanded it and the house became known as al-Bayda' and Dar Ibn Yusuf. When al-Khayzaran the mother of the caliphs Musa al-Hadi and Harun al-Rashid performed pilgrimage, she brought out Ibn Yusuf from the house and turned it into a mosque, after which the house became known as Zuqaq al-Mawlid.

The Quranic scholar al-Naqqash (266-351) mentions this Birthplace Mosque as a place where doa by noon on Yawm al-Ithnayn (Mondays) is answered.

Ibn Jubayr (540-614) in his Rihla ("Travels") states: "This blessed place (the Birthplace Mosque of the Prophet) is opened, and all men enter it to derive blessing from it (mutabarrikin bih) on every Monday of the month of Rabi al-Awwal, for on that day and in that month was born the Prophet."

The 7th-century historians Abu al-Abbas al-Azafi and his son Abu al-Qasim al-Azafi wrote in their Kitab al-Durr al-Munazzam: "Pious pilgrims and prominent travellers testified that, on the day of the mawlid in Mecca, no activities are undertaken, and nothing is sold or bought, except by the people who are busy visiting his noble birthplace, and rush to it. On this day the Kaabah is opened and visited."

The famous eighth-century historian Ibn Battuta relates in his Rihla that on every Jumua after the salat and also on the birthday of the Prophet, the door of the Kaabah is opened by the head of the Banu Shayba the doorkeepers of the Kaabah while on the Maulud, the Shafii head judge of Mekah, Najm al-Din Muhammad ibn al-Imam Muhyi al-Din al-Tabari, distributed food to the descendants of the Prophet and to the people of Mekah.

The house is described in full by the ninth-century historian Taqi al-Din al-Fasi in his book Shifa' al-Gharam bi-Akhbar al-Balad al-Haram.

The following description consolidates eyewitness accounts by three 10th-century authorities: the historian Ibn Zahira from his Jami al-Latif fi Fadli Makkata wa-Ahliha; al-Haytami from his book al-Mawlid al-Sharif al-Muazzam; and the historian al-Nahrawali from al-Ilmam bi-Alam Bayt Allah al-Haram:

Each year on the twelfth of Rabi al-Awwal, after salat Maghrib, the four qadis of Mekah (representing the Four Sunni Schools) and large groups of people including the jurists and notables of Mekah, Shaykhs, zawiya teachers and students, magistrates and scholars, leave the Mosque and set out collectively for a visit to the birthplace of the Prophet, shouting out zikir and tahlil (a statement that there is no god but Allah).

The houses on the route are illuminated with numerous lanterns and large candles, and a great many people are out and about. They all wear special clothes and they take their children with them.

Inside the birthplace, a special sermon for the occasion of the birthday of the Prophet is delivered. Hereafter the doa for the (Ottoman) Sultan, the Emir of Mekah, and the Shafii qadi is performed and all pray humbly.

Shortly before the Isyak prayer, the whole party returns to the Great Mosque, which is almost overcrowded, and sit down in rows at the foot of Maqam Ibrahim. In the mosque, a preacher first mentions the tahmid (a statement that all praise only be to Allah) and tahlil. Once again the doa for the Sultan, the Emir, and the Shafii qadi is performed, followed by the Isyak prayer.

A similar description is given by al-Diyarbakri (d 960) in his great Sirah entitled Ta'rikh al-Khamis fi Akhbari Anfasi Nafis.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Hajar al-Haytami al-Makki (909- 974) in the beginning of his commentary on al-Busiri's Hamziyya poem mentions "the present well-known mosque that was the house where the Prophet, upon him blessings and peace, was born."

Muhammad Labib al-Battanuni in the year 1327/1909 in his book al-Rihlat al-Hijaziyya described the house in similar detail as others before him and the fact that "al-Khayzaran turned it into a mosque and it remains thus to our present day".

Knowledge and upkeep of the hallowed birthplace of the Prophet is mass-transmitted. From Abbasid times the Muslims upkept the Birthplace Mosque for centuries, each king and prince of Egypt, Yemen, Syria and the Ottoman Sultans buttressing it and lavishing upon it gifts and precious ornaments from East and West until the Hijaz was overrun by zealots 200 years ago, at which time the Mosque was destroyed and its endowments dispersed.

This act was committed in ignorance of the explicit hadith, "Do not raze the vestiges of the past for they are the adornment of Madina", as narrated from Ibn Umar by al-Tahawi in Sharh Ma'ani al-Athar.

Dr Muhammad Said al-Buti wrote in his preface to Sayyid Yusuf al-Rifai's book Advice to our brothers the scholars of Najd:

"I truly do not know if the Islamic World ever concurred in its indignation over a single matter in its entire history the way it does today over what is being perpetrated by the brethren who are in charge of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and by its scholars in the evisceration of Makka and Madina and their vicinities of all the historical remnants connected with the life of the Messenger of God, upon him blessings and peace, both as a private person and as a Prophet, and, subsequently, their perpetrating deeds that violate Islamic Law and violate the method which the pious Predecessors used to follow."

Years later, King Abd al-Aziz ibn Saud gave the vacant land to the Amin al-Asima at that time, Shaykh Abbas ibn Yusuf al-Qattan, who built upon it the library known as Maktabat Makkat al-Mukarrama. The library still stands at the time these lines are written.

Safar 2nd Islamic month

Incorrect beliefs regarding the blessed month of Safar:

Safar al-Muzaffar is the second month of the Islamic calendar. Literal meaning of Safar is empty. During this month the houses used to be empty and deserted because the ban on going to war in the month of Muharram came to an end, thus everyone proceeded towards the battlefield.

Many people have improper beliefs regarding this month i.e. it is a month of misfortune and calamities. The teachings of Allah Ta'ala and His Most Beloved Rasool SallAllahu Alaihi wasallam give us clear guidelines on such incorrect beliefs. Allah Ta'ala says in the Holy Qur'an:
"No misfortune befalls except by Allah’s command..." [Surah Tagabun, Verse 11]

These beliefs have also been condemned in the several Ahadith:

"There is no superstitious owl, bird, no star-promising rain, no bad omen in the month of Safar". (Sahih Bukhari)

"There is no bad omen in the month of Safar and no Ghouls (evil spirits)". (Sahih Muslim)

"The descending of illness and evil superstition befalling in the month of Safar is untrue." [Sahih Muslim]

These incorrect beliefs flow from the pre-Islamic period of Jahiliyyah [Days of Ignorance]. With the advent of Islam and the teachings of Sayyadina Rasoolullah (SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam), all evil and incorrect beliefs common in pre-Islamic times were discarded.

Unfortunately today too, there are some Muslims who hold incorrect beliefs regarding the month of Safar:

1. A nikah performed in this month would not be successful.

2. This month is full of misfortune and calamities.

3. To commence any important task during this month will bring bad luck.

4. The first to the thirteenth of Safar is ill-fortune and evil, etc

5. The person who distributes food or money on the 13th of Safar will be saved from its ill-fortune.

6. To celebrate the last Wednesday of Safar and regard it as a holiday.

As true Muslims, we must stop all types of incorrect beliefs regarding the blessed month of Safar. We must understand that all conditions which fall on us, good or bad, are from Allah Ta'ala, (as a result of our actions). May Allah Ta'ala increase our understanding of our Deen and keep us on the straight path. Aameen

The Qadiri Treasures

The Qadiri Treasures, Explained
by Huzoor Mufassire Azam Hind Ibrahim Raza Khan Rahmatullahalaih
Huzur Ghawth al Azam Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al Jilani RadiAllahuanhu has commanded his Mureedeen to recite the five treasures of the Qadiri Order after each Salah 100 times. By adding the Blessed name of Allah Almighty it completes its astounding benefits;

1.YAA AZEEZU YAA ALLAH (O All Mighty, O Allah) after Fajr Salah
2.YAA KAREEMU YAA ALLAH (O Ever Generous, O Allah ) after Zuhr Salah
3.YAA JABBAARU YAA ALLAH (O All Compelling, O Allah ) after Asr Salah
4.YAA SATTAARU YAA ALLAH (O Coverer of faults, O Allah ) after Maghrib Salah
5.YAA GHAFFAARU YAA ALLAH (O All Forgiving, O Allah ) after Isha Salah.

Men of extreme spiritual wisdom know very well, the secrets these particular supplications hold and what benefits the timing of these supplications hold.
My habit is one of summarising so I will present a brief summary below;

1.YAA AZEEZU has been commanded to us, to read after the Fajr prayer, this is due to the commencing of the day, one is preoccupied in fulfilling his worldly chores and will come into contact with friends and enemies.
Ya Azeez means O. Almighty, The Strong, Dignified and Powerful.
By reciting this attribute one will overcome all problems and will gain honour, dignity and respect, especially when faced with difficult situations.
Without doubt one who remembers Allah Almighty is honourable and overcomes his adversaries .

2.YAA KAREEMU has been commanded to us to read, after the Zuhr Salah. The rule is that flowers open their buds in the evening and spread their fragrance throughout the night and wither in the afternoon, therefore to recite this attribute at this time, one has great hope of increasing ones sustenance.

3.YAA JABBAARU is to be read after the Asr Salah, it is from the Asmaae Jalaaliyyah (very powerful). The time of Asr is when iblees calls a meeting on the surface of the ocean with great pride and show, where all the shayaateen gather to discuss ways in which to deceive and destroy mankind. Every Human has an individual shaytaan who attends this meeting and it is here, where it is decided between the shayateen, that you will do this, and I will do that.
Therefore this is the time to remember Allah Almighty with this name so that his wrath be on these shayateen and his protection be on us from their mischief.

4.YAA SATTAARU is to be read after Maghrib Salah, once the sun has set, and darkness sets. This is the time when animals of prey, snakes, thieves, robbers and other harms are out and about. Calamities and catastrophes swirl around in the darkness, hence the meaning of reciting this supplication is to call on the Almighty to protect and safeguard us from all these dangers. Furthermore mankind tends to commit more sins during the night, which is why one should seek his protection at the beginning of the night so that we are veiled from this and we remain steadfast .

5. YAA GHAFAARU is to be read after Isha Salah, the sins committed by mankind during the day for which he is punishable, The Mercy of Allah Almighty prevents the Kiraaman Kaatibeen ( Honourable recorders ) from recording these until one goes to sleep without repenting and asking for forgiveness.
If one asks for forgiveness and repents for his sins before sleeping i.e by reciting Yaa Ghafaaru Allah Almighty will erase these from his book of bad deeds.

This is also one of the reasons we have been instructed to avoid worldly conversation after the Isha Prayer, and also to delay Isha for a part of the night is better so that one can sleep immediately after performing Isha Salah.
The benefits of repenting cannot be described. It is stated in a Hadith Shareef the one who repents after sinning, it is like he has not committed that sin at all. ( Sunan ibn Maajah ,Sunan albayhaqi alkubra )
In another Hadith Shareef it is stated, glad tidings be for one who finds plenty of istighfaar in his book of deeds .(Ibn Maaajah ,baabul istighfaar )

In Surah Nooh
“I therefore told them, ‘Seek forgiveness from your Lord; He is indeed Most Forgiving.
‘He will send down abundant rain for you from the sky.’
‘And will aid you with wealth and sons, and will create gardens for you and cause rivers to flow for you.’
[Verse;10,11 & 12]

Sayyiduna Huzaifa RadiAllahuanhu once presented his ailment of his tongue, in the Blessed court of the Most Beloved ﷺ which wasn't being cured by medicines, to which The Most Belovedﷺ prescribed Istighfaar.
Imaam Ul Aarifeen Sayyiduna Hassan Basri RadiAllahuanhu was approached by a group of people at the time of famine, to which the great Imam prescribed Repentance in abundance, one complained of difficulty with finances and daily life, to which he again prescribed repentance with abundance. Another complained regarding his crops withering and dying and his orchards drying up to which he was also given the wazifa of repentance. After this, the final questioner asked regarding him not having any children he also was given the wazifa of repenting and begging for forgiveness, due to istighfar all these people were successful in their needs.

SUNNAH OF QURBANI

Qurbani is a worship with goods and is Wajib (necessary) upon every rich person. To sacrifice a specific animal on a specific day for the sake of Allah (The Exalted) for the intention to gain reward is called a Qurbani. Qurbani is Wajib upon every Muslim who is not a traveller and is the owner of Nisaab and is a free person.

★ Just as Qurbani is Wajib upon all males it is also Wajib upon all females. (Durr-e-Mukhtar, etc)

★ Qurbani is not Wajib upon a traveller, however, if he wishes to perform it voluntarily, then he can do so and will gain reward. (ibid)

★ The owner of Nisaab means to have as much goods in addition to the basic necessities an amount of two hundred Dirhams (approx. £400-£500 and is always changing). (Durr-e-Mukhtar, Alamgiri, etc.)

TIME OF QURBANI

★ The time of Qurbani is from the break of dawn of the 10th of Dhul Hajj to sunset on the 12th of Dhul Hajj, meaning three days and two nights. However, it is better to perform it in the morning of the 10th, then 11th, then 12th.

★ If the Qurbani is performed in a city then the condition is that it is performed after the ‘Eid Salaah and because there is no ‘Eid Salaah in villages and outskirts then it can be performed after the break of dawn.

★ It is necessary to perform Qurbani at the time of Qurbani, therefore, if that much money or the same amount of goods to the value of an animal is given then the responsibility of Qurbani will not be fulfilled. (Alamgiri etc.)

★ If the time of Qurbani has passed then a Qurbani can no longer be performed and if you had purchased an animal for Qurbani then give it as Sadaqa (charity) or give the amount of money equivalent to the
value of a goat as Sadaqa. (Durr-e-Mukhtar, Alamgiri, etc.)

RULES OF QURBANI
★ Once the conditions of Qurbani are fulfilled (as mentioned above), then to sacrifice one goat or sheep or lamb or one seventh of a camel, cow, buffalo is Wajib and no less than this can be performed.

★ If a person’s share of a large animal is less than one seventh then their share of the Qurbani will not count (meaning, if eight people  are jointly sacrificing one large animal then only seven of these people’s Qurbani will count).

★ If there are less than seven people jointly performing Qurbani and the parts divided are equal to at least one seventh per person then the Qurbani will count.

★ Every person that is jointly performing Qurbani have to make the intention that they are doing it to gain reward and not just to gain the meat and therefore a person wanting to perform an Aqiqah can also
join in as this is done to gain reward. (Radd-ul-Mohtar).

RULES OF MEAT AND THE SKIN

★  If the animal is bought jointly then the meat should be weighed and equally distributed. It should not be divided roughly because if it is divided un-equally then even if the person receiving less forgives them it will not be forgiven as the right is as per Shariat. (ibid Bahar)

★ Then split your share into three parts and give one third to the poor as Sadaqa, one third to your relatives and one third for yourself and eat the meat yourself and give some to your wife and children. If you have a lot of children and a large family then you can keep all the meat for yourself and if you so wish you can give all of it to Sadaqa, however, it is better to keep one part of yourself.

★ If you have performed a Qurbani on behalf of a deceased person then the rule of the meat is the same, however, if the deceased had requested for the Qurbani then give all the meat away as Sadaqa.

★ If the Qurbani is from a deceased person then the meat cannot be eaten by yourself nor can it be given to a rich person, but it is Wajib to give all the meat away as Sadaqa. (Bahar)

★ It is Mustahab for the person performing the Qurbani to eat the Qurbani meat as the first food of the day. (Barraur-Raiq)

★ The meat of the Qurbani should not be given to infidels.

★ The animal’s skin, reins, saddle etc. should all be given in Sadaqa.
★ You can use the skin for yourself and make something out of it e.g. a leather bag or a mat for praying Namaz on. However, you cannot sell the skin and use the money for yourself, if this is done then the money has to be given as Sadaqa.  (Durr-e-Mukhtar, Radd-ul-Mohtar)

★ Nowadays people usually give the skins to Madressas, this is allowed and if you sell the skin with the intention to give the money to the Madressas then this is also allowed.
(Alamgiri, Bahar-e-Shariat )

★ The meat of the Qurbani cannot be given to the person performing the Qurbani or skinning the animal as labour or salary. If however, you give it as a gift as you would do to friends then this is acceptable, but you cannot include it as a form of payment for his work.
(Hidaya etc.)

★ There are many places where the skin is given to the Imam. This should not be given as part of his salary but can be given as a gift or assistance.
(Bahar-e-Shariat)

WHICH ANIMALS CAN BE USED FOR QURBANI

★ Animals for Qurbani - Camel, cow, buffalo, goat, ewe (male or female), eunuch, and large eunuch can all be used for Qurbani. (Alamgiri)

★ Wild animals such as deer, white antelope, and reindeer cannot be used to perform Qurbani.

★ A sheep or lamb is included in the eunuch category.

AGE OF of A QURBANI ANIMAL

★ A camel must be at least five years old; a buffalo must be at least two years old and a sheep or lamb or goat at least a year old. If they are younger than this then the Qurbani will not count. However, if a lamb or a eunuch’s young is so big at six months that by looking at it from a distance it looks to be a year old then it can be used for
Qurbani. ( Durr-e-Mukhtar)

What should a Qurbani Animal be like?

★ A Qurbani animal should be big and healthy and should not have any faults. If there is a small fault with the animal then the Qurbani will count but is Makrooh and if there is a big fault then the Qurbani will not count. (Durr-e-Mukhtar, Radd-ul-Mohtar, Alamgiri)

★ If a bull has no horns from birth then it is allowed and if the horns have been broken upto the root then it is not allowed to use it for Qurbani and if they are a little broken then it is allowed. (Alamgiri, etc.)

★ A blind, lame, cross-eyed, mad, cut-ears, cut-tailed, teethless, cut-teats, dried teats, cut nosed, deaf from birth, a hermaphrodite (where an animal’s both sexual organ’s exist), an animal that only
eats impurities then all of these animals cannot be used for Qurbani.
(Durr-e-Mukhtar, Bahar)

★ If the illness is small and the lameness is not that bad so that the animal can walk upto the slaughter-house or the ears, nose etc. are less than a third cut then the animal can be used for Qurbani. (ibid
Hidaya, Alamgiri)

★ If when performing the Qurbani the animal jumped and shook and due to this it became faulty then there is no harm. (Durr-e-Mukhtar, Radd-ul-Mohtar)

★ If you performed a Qurbani and found that there is a live born inside then that should also be slaughtered and can be made use of, and if the young inside is dead then it should be thrown away.
(Bahar-e-Shariat)

If after purchasing and before the Qurbani the animal give birth then the new-born should also be slaughtered and if it is sold then the money should be given away as Sadaqa and if it is not slaughtered before the Qurbani then give it away live as Sadaqa. (Alamgiri, Bahar)

NOTICE: Just look at our master and king the Prophet Muhammad Mustafa’s (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) big heart and concern that he made a Qurbani on behalf of his Ummah and thought of us, therefore, if a Muslim can then they should perform an additional Qurbani on behalf of the Holy Prophet then it would be a very good and fortunate act. (Bahar-e-Shariat)

What are major sins and minor sins

Question:     What is Gunah Kabiraha and what are they and what is Gunah Saghira and
what are they?
............................................................................
Answer:     There are various Traditions about the Major Sins (Gunah Kabira).  Those sins, which are normally included in Major Sins are the following:

1.  Shirk- making someone or something a partner to Allah Most High.
2.  Killing somebody without a valid reason.
3.  Leaving any Fardh (Obligation) of Allah Most High like Salaat or fast.
4.  Using wine or any other intoxicant.
5.  Adultery.
6.  Theft or stealing.
7.  Magic.
8.  Oppressing someone.
9.  Lies.
10. Accepting bribes
11. Taking, giving or making someone give usury
12. Short weighing (weighing less than the actual weight)
13. Embezzling the money of an orphan.
14. Breaking a trust.
15. Hiding the true evidence and giving false evidence.
16. Taking a false oath to prove right as wrong or wrong as right.
17. Disobeying parents or hurting them.
18. Gambling.
19. Accusing a virtuous, chaste woman of adultery.
20. Homosexuality.
21. Insisting on a minor sin or considering it small.

Imam Ibn Hajar Haitami (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) has enumerated 467 Major Sins in Az Zawajir.  One more opinion is that every sin is minor when compared to the one before it and is Major when compared to the one after it.  Going on committing a minor sin or taking it lightly is also a major sin.

Apart from Major sins, all other sins are minor sins.

12 Super Sunnahs We Should Seriously Begin to Follow

Quick question to refresh our minds: who was Prophet Muhammad ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him)? As Muslims, we believe he was the last and final messenger of the Creator to mankind. His life is an example for generations after generations until the end of time on how to live in a pure and humble way, with the worship of Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) the Creator as our purpose and pivotal role.

The word “sunnah” is used to describe the life and teachings of the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him). The sunnah is an ultimate guidance for leading a productive, successful life. Sometimes we neglect the sunnah, however, and we find ourselves googling “how to be successful/smart/productive”, while the sunnah of the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) has provided us with gems on how to do just that. Better yet, the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said:

“Whoever revives my Sunnah then he has loved me. And whoever loved me, he shall be with me in Paradise.” [Tirmidhi]

Not only for our personal gain but out of love for our beloved Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him), we should try to live our life by the sunnah as much as possible. We should be active in learning about the life of the final messenger to mankind ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him). While engaging in knowing about the life of a person, your love and respect for him grow. Similarly, when learning about the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him), you will find hundreds of stories, attributes and habits that will be beneficial for your life if implemented, In sha Allah.

In this article, we will discuss 12 sunnahs of the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) that we must aim to revive, In sha Allah, in hopes of increasing our productivity, and seeking the company of the beloved Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) in the Hereafter.

1. Sleeping and waking up early

Our sleeping pattern plays a great role in our ability to function effectively during the day. The hours after Fajr are among the most blessed of the day. Starting the day off by praying the morning salah sets you in the right frame of mind to be the best you can be throughout the day. However, in order to rise in the early hours it is imperative to sleep early as your body requires an adequate amount of rest.

Aisha raḍyAllāhu 'anha (may Allāh be pleased with her) said about the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him):

“He used to sleep early at night, and get up in its last part to pray, and then return to his bed.” [Bukhari]

When you have a million things to do, it is easy to fall into a horrible cycle of sleeping late and waking up late. Due to our failure to wake up early, one day extends into the next in order to finish your list of tasks. Break that cycle today! Wake up early and sleep early to be the strong, successful you that you want to be, In sha Allah.

2. Having a pleasant smile always

Ibn Jaz reports: “I have not seen anyone who smiled more than the Messenger of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him).”[Tirmidhi]

Smiling has been shown to increase the natural antidepressant hormone, serotonin, causing the one who wears a smile to be happier. We underestimate the power of a smile on both ourselves and those around us. This characteristic is highly contagious and plays a massive role in building relationships with those around you. A positive mind and attitude is irreplaceable in the quest to be productive and achieve your goals in life. Smiling is a simple, inexpensive act that helps lift your mood and make you feel more grateful and content since our Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) was seen frequently doing it. So, let’s follow along this great sunnah. Consciously take note of your usual facial expression: is your normal expression a happy one or do you always appear sad, exhausted, preoccupied or frustrated? It will take a bit of regular effort, but you can cut down on the frowning, smile more often and spread joy and peace around you as the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) instructed.

3. Using the siwak

Abu Hurairah raḍyAllāhu 'anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him) narrated that Allah’s Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said:

“If it were not that it would be difficult on my nation, then I would have ordered them to use the siwak for each prayer.” [Tirmidhi]

This hadith indicates the view of the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) towards the siwak. Siwak comes from the Salvadora persica tree and has many anti-bacterial qualities, making it a great way to maintain hygiene of the mouth. It can be said, given how often the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) would have liked us to use the siwak, that there is a big emphasis on maintaining oral hygiene. It is narrated that the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) would use siwak upon waking. The teeth are delicate and when problems occur can cause tremendous amount of pain, so this sunnah introduces preventative measures against a problem that can have you rolled up in bed for days. Siwak is easily purchasable and relatively cheap, making it an easy sunnah to uphold. It keeps the mouth clean and fresh naturally and effortlessly all the time.

Abdur-Rahman bin Abu ‘Atiq said: “My father told me: ‘I heard ‘Aishah say, (narrating) from the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him): “Siwak is a means of purification for the mouth and is pleasing to the Lord.” [Sunan an-Nasa’i]

4. Oiling hair

I heard Jabir bin Samurah being asked about the grey hairs of the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him). He said: ‘If he put oil on his head they could not be seen, but if he did not put oil on his head, they could be seen.'” [An-Nasa’i]

The act of oiling is something many of us do not recognise to be a part of the sunnah. This hadith alludes to the idea of using oil to prevent grey hairs being visible, highlighting that the sunnah of the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) encompasses every aspect of life. Oiling hair on a regular basis prevent hair loss and greying, promotes strong and lustrous hair by strengthening hair protein and rejuvenates and relaxes the mind by soothing the brain’s nerves and capillaries. We seek all this by spending a great deal of money at hairdressers and spas, yet this simple sunnah can save us a great deal of money, time and effort whilst we continue to live like our beloved Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him).

5. Maintaining the 1/3rd rule in eating

Miqdam bin Madikarib said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) say:

‘A human being fills no worse vessel than his stomach. It is sufficient for a human being to eat a few mouthfuls to keep his spine straight. But if he must (fill it), then one third of food, one third for drink and one third for air.’” [Ibn Majah]

It is an underestimated fact that food has a dramatic effect on your body’s and brain’s performance. This hadith clearly highlights that overeating is a reprehensible quality we should stay away from. However, it is also important to remember that undereating is equally as harmful to a person. In order to function, we need to have a balanced outlook towards our meals; your level of food consumption should not leave you feeling tired or bloated as this is a state that leads to laziness, which is a vice we seek refuge in Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) from.

Can you conquer the world by sleeping? No. So, eat a nutritious, balanced meal that is sufficient in suppressing your hunger.

6. Speaking good or keeping silent

The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said:

“He who believes in Allah and the Hereafter, if he witnesses any matter he should talk in good terms about it or keep quiet.” [Muslim]

We often find ourselves in situations where we sit and talk about things that do not concern us. We waste precious minutes, even hours, just by talking about matters that will not increase us in knowledge, character or anything for that matter. When speaking ill of a person or situation, the conversation becomes elongated, sadly due to the desire to gossip. The beauty of this particular sunnah is that it will help you save time and reduce the amount of energy used to contemplate over irrelevant matters being discussed. This energy and time could be well spent on something beneficial, such as reading Qur’an or doing vital tasks, or only speaking things that benefit oneself and others in dunya and akhirah.

7. Doing hijama (cupping)

The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said:

“If there is any healing in your medicines, then it is in cupping, a gulp of honey or branding with fire (cauterization) that suits the ailment, but I don’t like to be (cauterized) branded with fire.” [Bukhari]

The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) would be cupped on a regular basis. This form of treatment has been used throughout history in a number of countries. The benefits of cupping are vast, including the removal of toxins within the blood. Studies have shown cupping to be beneficial in the treatment of migraines, fertility and joint pains. This can be taken as a therapeutic measure against stress, helping to relieve a person of thoughts that impinge on their ability to complete their daily tasks.

8. Visiting the sick

The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said:

“Feed the hungry, visit the sick, and set free the captives.” [Bukhari]

The concept of looking out for others is found throughout the teachings of the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him). Sadly, we are regularly aware of people within our circle of acquaintances who are tested with an illness, big or small. Visiting and spending time with them has two major benefits. You demonstrate love towards another, instantly tightening the bonds of kinship/friendship. Also, to see someone who is unable to function as well as they normally can, is a strong reminder to us all of the blessing of health that we currently have and take for granted. The next time you hear of someone who is ill, try your best to go beyond sending them a ‘get well soon’ and practice a forgotten sunnah: make the effort to be physically present and comfort them.

9. Sitting when eating/drinking

It was narrated from Anas raḍyAllāhu 'anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him): “The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) prohibited that a man should drink while standing.” (Qatadah said) So it was said: “And eating?” He (Anas) said: “That is worse.” [Tirmidhi]

Those who stand to eat or drink always look like they are in a rush. Sitting down to eat slows a person in their eating habits, reducing the amount they are likely to eat and the unhealthy speed by which they do so. As mentioned above, eating consciously prevents a person from becoming fatigued due to their stomach size. Importantly, eating together as a family, which requires you to sit, is a crucial way to build relationships.

10. Sleeping on your right side

“When Allah’s Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) went to bed, he used to sleep on his right side.”[Bukhari]

One of the main points to consider when a person wants to have a productive, blessed day is to look at how you go to sleep. The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) was the most successful in how he spent his days; the way in which he took to his sleep plays a role in helping him to be like this. Following in his footsteps is the key to unlocking a fruitful morning.

11. Saying Salam/Bismillah before entering a house

The Messenger of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said:

“If a person mentions the Name of Allah upon entering his house or eating, Satan says, addressing his followers: ‘You will find nowhere to spend the night and no dinner.’ But if he enters without mentioning the Name of Allah, Satan says (to his followers); ‘You have found (a place) to spend the night in, and if he does not mention the Name of Allah at the time of eating, Satan says: ‘You have found (a place) to spend the night in as well as food.”‘ [Muslim]

None of us want shaytan to enter our homes; we are aware of the distractions he creates to lead to our destruction. That being said, it is fundamentally important to seek refuge from his evil ways. Upon entering our homes, it is crucial to utter the Name of Allah to prevent our doors being open for him. shaytan is an enemy of productivity and success; his ultimate goal is to see us fail in our journey to develop a relationship with Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He). Take the measures, as given in the sunnah, against him because he will squeeze into whatever gap visible to him. Never let the enemy win!

12. Untying the three knots

Waking up for Fajr is a battle many of us have experienced or are experiencing. The hours of the morning, as mentioned above, are a blessed time for being productive in studying and completing various tasks. The sad reality is, many of us miss out on this because we fail to wake up for Fajr on time.

Allah’s Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said:

“During your sleep, Satan knots three knots at the back of the head of each of you, and he breathes the following words at each knot, ‘The night is, long, so keep on sleeping,’ If that person wakes up and celebrates the praises of Allah, then one knot is undone, and when he performs ablution the second knot is undone, and when he prays, all the knots are undone, and he gets up in the morning lively and in good spirits, otherwise he gets up in low spirits and lethargic.” [Bukhari]

This hadith sets out the plan of action to be successful: wake up, praise Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He), perform wudu and pray fajr. Being lively and in good spirits are the perfect ingredients to having a productive day, and this is what you will achieve when you follow this sunnah, In sha Allah.

How blessed are we that our religion teaches us about all the ingredients of a successful life? Alhamdulillah!

Tell us, do you think you can easily incorporate all these sunnahs in your life? What other sunnahs can you think of that can help increase our productivity?

5 time management tips for Muslims

“By (the Token of) Time (through the ages), Verily mankind is in loss, Except those who have faith, and do righteous good deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.”(The Qur’aan 103:1-3)

It’s the beginning of your work day; you sit down at your computer to start a project that you are already days behind on. The phone rings. You talk to your co-worker for twenty minutes about an event you are planning for the weekend. After you hang up you decide to check your Facebook status, respond to a few emails, and head to the break room for a snack. Before you know it, it’s been two hours and you still haven’t gotten any work done on your project. And now you have a pile of work you need to get done in addition to your project, and not nearly enough time to do it. Sound familiar? If it does, you are in major need of a time management makeover.

The first thing you should be aware of is: you must manage your time. Time keeps on moving no matter what you do. You have 24 hours, 1440 minutes or 86,400 seconds each day to use how you will. To say manage implies that you have some control over it, which you do. While you can’t control getting more time in a day, you can control what you do with the 24 hours that you have- inshAllaah.

Charles Bruxton once said, “You will never ‘find’ time for anything. If you want time you must make it.” These tips are designed to help you make more time for yourself. Whether you choose to use it to get more work done, spend more time with the family or enjoy a book while swinging in a hammock is up to you.

Here are 5 tips to help you use your time wisely, be more productive and as a result feel happier and less stressed as a Muslim.

1. Know where you time is going: If you want to fix your time-leak you need to find out where the problem is. The easiest way to do this is to sit down with a pen and paper and map out your day. You have 24 hours; write down how you think you spend them. The easiest way to do this is to create a simple chart blocking out hours you spend doing certain activities. A sample daily chart may look something like this:

Sleeping: 8 hours
Eating (including prep) 2 hours
Work: 8 hours
Travel: 1 hour
Salah: 1 hour
Exercise: 1 hour
Shower/dress: 1 hour
Other: 3 hours
TOTAL: 24 hours

Your times will vary according to your personal schedule and priorities. Now that you have a vague idea of where your time is spent it’s time to get more specific. You need to write down exactly where you time goes.

For example, you know you spend 8 hours at work, but you’re not getting everything done. Why? Take a notebook with you to the office and make note of everything you do and how much time you spend doing it. Write down every coffee break, Facebook perusal, water cooler discussion and projects. At the end of the day, you may be surprised at how much time you spend doing unimportant things because you get distracted.

“There are two blessings which many people lose: (They are) health and free time for doing good.” (Bukhari 8/421)

2. Set goals: What is your ultimate goal? As Muslims everything we do if we do it for the sake of Allaah subhana wa Tala- it counts as ibidah for us. Do you want to have more time at the end of the day to relax or more time to spend with your family without feeling guilty? Maybe you work from home and you’d like to get more work done to increase your income, so you need to be more productive. Whatever your goal is, learning to use your time more efficiently will help. Write down your goal and post it where you can see it. When you start to get distracted look at your goal and remind yourself to focus. If you want to add Qur’aan during the day, but have no time for it, maybe you can add 30 minutes while driving to work, and 30 minutes while driving back home, inshAllaah.

Creating goals can be an effective way to stay on task. When we consistently remind ourselves why we need to make a change, we are more likely to stick to our plan.

Along with creating other goals you can create specific time-management goals. For example, set a goal of only checking your Twitter feed after you have completed a certain project or after working for a certain amount of time. Reward yourself when you meet a goal inshAllaah.

3. Begin everything with Bismillah, and start and end your day with a plan: Take 20 to 30 minutes every morning to write down what you need to do for the day. Prioritize your list. By making a list of everything you need to get done first thing in the morning, you get your brain on track. At the end of the day take anything that is left over and write it on your list for the next day. Every morning you’ll be adding to the list of leftover items from the day before. If you can, put these left over items at the top of your list so that you don’t have a short list of things that keep tagging along with you week after week.

The Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said

“Get hold of 5 things before 5 things happen: your youth before old age, your health before sickness, your riches before poverty, your leisure before business and your life before death.” (Tirmidhi)

4. Prioritize your list: List the top six things that you must get done for the day. For some people listing more than six things can be overwhelming. Rank the items on your list from the most important to the least important and tackle them in order. When you get one thing done move on to the next, until you get through your list. You may or may not be able to get everything on your list done. If you don’t finish all six items move the remaining items to the next day and rank them accordingly.

5. Schedule email and phone calls: Set time limits for the projects you are working on and set aside specific time to handle smaller tasks, such as checking your email or returning phone calls. Checking your email every five minutes and answering the phone every time it rings can be real time –suckers. Ignore your phone and return the calls at a later time, unless you are waiting for a call that is vital to one of your projects.

The most important thing to remember is that you choose what to do with your time. You need to choose what is most important, and it’s not always going to be work. For me and my family it making sure we are doing ibidah and remembering Allaah in everything we do, inshAllaah.

According to John Hall Gladstone: “To comprehend a man’s life, it is necessary to know not merely what he does but also what he purposely leaves undone. There is a limit to the work that can be got out of a human body or a human brain, and he is a wise man who wastes no energy on pursuits for which he is not fitted; and he is still wiser who, from among the things he can do well, chooses and resolutely follows the best.” I pray that this article was beneficial to you, and that you will inshAllaah use it in your life.

Earning vs Living

In 1923, nine of the wealthiest people in the world met at Chicago's Edge Water Beach Hotel .

Their combined wealth, it is estimated, exceeded the wealth of the government of the United States at that time. These men certainly knew how to make a living and accumulate wealth. Attending the meeting were the following men:

1. The president of the largest steel company,

2. The president of the largest utility company,

3. The president of the largest gas company,

4. The president of the New York Stock Exchange,

5. The president of the Bank of International Settlements,

6. The greatest wheat speculator,

7. The greatest bear on Wall Street,

8. The head of the World's greatest monopoly &

9. A member of President Harding's cabinet.

That's a pretty impressive line-up of people by anyone's yardstick.

Yet, 25 years later, where were those nine industrial giants?

Let’s examine what happened to them 25 years later.
1. The President of the then largest steel company (Bethlehem Steel Corp), Charles M Schwab, lived on borrowed capital for five years before he died bankrupt.

2. The President of the then largest gas company, Howard Hubson, went insane.

3. One of the greatest commodity traders (Wheat Speculator), Arthur Cutten, died insolvent.

4. The then President of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, was sent to jail.

5. The member of the US President’s Cabinet (the member of President Harding's cabinet), Albert Fall, was pardoned from jail just to be able to go home and die in peace.

6. The greatest “bear” on Wall Street, Jesse Livermore committed suicide.

7. The President of the then world’s greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger, committed suicide.

8. The President of the Bank of International Settlement, Leon Fraser, committed Suicide.

9. The president of the largest utility company, Samuel Insull, died penniless.

What they forgot was how to "make" life while they got busy making money!

Money in itself is not evil; it provides food for the hungry, medicine for the sick, clothes for the needy. Money is only a medium of exchange.

We need two kinds of education:

a) One that teaches us how to make a living

and

b) One that teaches us how to live.
..........

There are many of us who are so engrossed in our professional material life that we neglect our family, health, social and most important spiritual responsibilities.

If asked why we do this, we would reply that "We are doing it for our family".
Yet, our kids are sleeping when we leave home. They are sleeping when we come back home!! Twenty years later, we’ll turn back, and they’ll all be gone, to pursue their own dreams and their own lives.

Without water, a ship cannot move. The ship needs water, but if the water gets into the ship, the ship will face existential problems. What was once a means of living for the ship will now become a means of destruction.

Similarly we live in a time where earning is a necessity but let not the earning enter our hearts, for what was once a means of living will surely become a means of destruction for us as well.

So take a moment and ask yourself……….
Has the water entered my ship?

I hope Not!
Long message... Worth reading..

How far is the boundary of Duniyah ?

Question: How far is the boundary of Duniyah?

Answer (By Imam Ahmad Rida)
The seven skies and seven earths are Duniyah. Besides this the Sidratul Muntah (The Furthest Lote Tree), Arsh and Kursi (Divine Throne) is Dar Al-Aakhirah (Abode of Hereafter). Dar Al-Duniyah (Abode of the world) is Shahaadah (can be witnessed) and Dar Al-Aakhirah is Ghayb (hidden). The keys of Ghayb are called Mafaatih and the keys of Shahaadah are Maqaalid. The Qur’an testifies:

“It is Allah who has the Mafaatih (keys) of Ghayb, besides Allah no one (personally) has the knowledge of it” (Surah An’aam, 59)
Another Ayah states:
“And for Allah are the Maqaalid (keys) of the skies and earth” (Surah Zumar, 63)

The 1st letter of Mafaatih is Meem and the last is Ha (greater Ha of Arabic). The first letter of Maqaalid is Meem and the last is Daal.
When all four letters are joined we get the word – Muhammad – (sallAllahu alaihi wasallam).

This can only point out to two things. Either all the secret keys of Shahaadah and Ghayb were given to him and are under the Beloved’s (sallAllahu Alaihi wasallam) supreme control or the mysteries of Shahaadah and Ghayb were locked in the Arcane Chambers.

The keys to open these secret chambers and bring them from non-existence to existence is the personality of Sayyiduna Rasulullah (sallAllahu alaihi wasallam). Had the Lord of Power not created him, then all the Treasures of Allah would have been still concealed in the Arcane Chambers and unknown to the world.

Wahabi Vs Sunni ( Jahilana Wahabi ka Shikwa )

Jahilana Wahabi ka Shikwa:…

1- Kaafir mandir jata hai, Tu Mazaar jata hai.
2- Kaafir Prasaad khaata hai, Tu Langar khaata hai.
3- Kaafir Naariyal chadhaata hai, Tu chaadar chadhaata hai.
4- Kaafir Aashirvaad leta hai, Tu Muraad leta hai.
5- Kaafir haath jodta hai, Tu maatha tekta hai.
6- Kaafir ki bhi bigdi ban jaati hai, Teri bhi muraad bhar aati hai
7- Jab koi farq hai nahi To tera KHUDA aur kaafir ka bhagwaan alag kyun hai?
8- Tere NABI to masjid jaate the, Phir Tu Mazaar pe kyun jaata hai?
9- Tere NABI ne to dua ke liye upar haath uthaye, To Tu kyun Qabr se chimat ta hai?
10- Tere NABI ne to sirf apne ALLAH se maanga, tu kyun mazaaron se sar phodta hai? * * *

Sunni ka Alimana Jawab.....
in light of Quran-o-Ahadith:

Objection 1 : Kaafir mandir jata hai, Tu Mazaar jata hai.
Reply: Dono mein farq ye hain ki Mandir mein uska Jhoota khuda hai jiski woh ibaadat karta hai Aur Mazaar mein Mere RAB ka NABI/WALI hai jiski main ibaadat nahi karta hun balke Taazeem karta hun aur Mere AAQA ki Hadees par amal karta hun
Hadees: Hazrat BURIDA (radiyallahu anhu) se riwaayat hain ki HUZOOR صلی اللہُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ ne farmaya: MAIN Tumhe ziyaarat-e-Quboor se manaa kiya karta tha, pas ab ziyaarat kiya karo" [Sahih Muslim, kitaab ul Janaiz]
aur Hazrat ABDULLAH bin UMAR se riwaayat hain RASOOLULLAHصلی اللہ ُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ ne farmaya: " Jisne MERI Qabr (Mazaar) ki Ziyaarat ki (roze Qiyaamat) us ke haq mein MERI shafa'at waajib ho gayi" [Daare Qutni fi Sunan, jild 2; Baihiqi fi Shoobul Imaan, jild 3]
Mere NABI ne mujhe Hukm diya Mazaaraat par jaane ka. Bad naseeb to tu hain jo is Sunnat ko Mandir se tashbeeh deta hai... Ab batao Musalmaan tum hai ya Main? Mazaaraat par jaana Sunnat hain ya Mandir mein jaane jaisa hain???

Objection 2 : Kaafir Prasaad khaata hai, Tu Langar khaata hai.
Reply: Woh prasaad uske Jhoote Khuda ke naam par khilaata hai aur main Langar khaata aur khilaata hun ALLAH ke WALI ke Isaale sawaab ke naam par. Farq itna hain ki Prasaad jhoote khuda ka hai aur Langar Sacche WALI ka. Woh shirk karta hai aur main Apne NABI ki Sunnat par amal!
Umme Saad ( Meri Waalida) ka inteqaal ho gaya hai. So kaun sa sadqa (isaale sawaab) afzal hai? AAP ne farmaya: " Paani (pilaana). To unhone ek kuwaan(well) khudwaaya aur kaha: Ye Umme Saad ka quwaan hai!" [Abu Dawood, kitab ul Zakah]
NABI ne Paani ka Langar lagwaya aur logon ne paani ke langar se paani piya! Langar mere AAQA aur Sahaba ki sunnat ho gayi.
Hadees: Abdullah bin Amr farmate hain kisi ne RASOOLALLAH صلی اللہُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ se pucha kis qism ka Islam accha hain? Farmaya: Khana Khilaao aur jise jaante ho yaa nahi use Salaam karo" [Sahih Bukhari, kitab ul Imaan]
Ab NABI to farma rahe hain ki behtareen Amal logon ko Khaana khilaana hai aur sawaab hain. Ab hum is sawaab ko WALI ke naam par Isaale sawaab kare aur logon ko langar khilaaye to Sunnat hain yaa Ma'azAllah Mandir ka prasaad? Woh Prasaad khata rahe aur hum WALI ka Langar khaayenge. ALHAMDULILLAH!

Objection 3 : Kaafir Naariyal chadhaata hai, Tu chaadar chadhaata hai.
Reply: Woh Naariyal uske jhoote Bagwaan ki Ibaadat ke liye chadhaata hai aur Main NABI/WALI ke Mazaar par chaadar Unki Taazeem ke liye chadhaata hun.

Objection 4: Kaafir Aashirvaad leta hai, Tu Muraad leta hai.
To Aap ne kaha : " Yaa MUHAMMAD صلی اللہُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ! (Aur unka Paaon bilkul theek ho gaya) [Imam Bukhari fi Adab ul Mufrad, Jild 1]
Hadees: Hazrat Malik Daar riwaayat karte hain ki Hazrat Umar ke zamaane mein log qahat mein mubtila ho gaye. Phir ek Sahabi HUZOOR صلی اللہُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ ki Qabr e Anwar par haazir huwe aur Arz kiya :
Yaa RASOOLALLAH! صلی اللہُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ Aap apni Ummat ke liye sairaabi maange kyunki woh halaak ho gayi hain........ (Is amal ke baad muraad puri huwi aur khoob baarish huwi) [Musanaf ibne Abi Shayba, jild 6; Baihiqi fi Dalailun Nubuwah]
Sahaba ki Sunnat to NABI ke Mazaar par jaa kar Muraad wa Madad lena tha. Hum to Sunnat par amal kar rahe hain kyunki Hamare NABI aur WALI sacche aur ALLAH ki Ataa se muraad puri karte hai. Magar afsos ki tum Hamare NABI aur WALI ko Jhoote Bhagwaan (buth) se tashbeeh karte ho. MA'AZALLAH! Laanat ho aise Mazhab par.

Objection 5 : Kaafir haath jodta hai, Tu maatha tekta hai.
Reply: Woh jhoote Khuda (buth) ke saamne ibaadat ke liye Haath jhodta hai Aur hum Musalmaan NABI aur WALI ke dar par maatha taazeeman tekte hai (sajda nahi karte). Hamara Maatha tekna unse Mohabbat mein hai. Maatha tekna na Sajda e Taazeemi hain na Ibaadat balki Taazeem ke saath bosa dena hai jaise hum Hajre Aswad aur KAABE ki deewaar ko choomte aur mas karte hai.
Sahaba ka Amal: Hazrat Dawood bin Abu Swaaleh (radiyallahu anhu) riwaayat karte hain ki Ek roz Marwaan aaya aur usne dekha ki Ek Aadmi HUZOOR صلی اللہُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ ki Qabr e Anwar par Apna Chehra jhukaaye huwe hain. To usne us Aadmi se kaha: " kya tu jaanta hain ki tu ye kya kar raha hain? Jab Marwaan us ki taraf badha to dekha ki woh (Sahabi e RASOOL) Hazrat Abu Ayub Ansari (radiyallahu anhu) the. Unhone (Jawaab mein) faymaya: Haan! (Main jaanta hu) Main RASOOLALLAH ! صلی اللہُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ ki baargaah e Aqdas mein haazir huwa hun. Kisi patthar ke paas nahi aaya! [Musnad Ahmed bin Hambal]
Jo Jawaab Sahabi ne Marwaan ko diya wahi Jawaab Hum Musalmaanon ka tumhe hai ki hum NABI aur WALI ki baargaah mein maatha jhukaate hai, Na ki Mandir mein rakhe Patthar par. Musalmaan ke liye Sahabi ka jawaab aur aqeeda kaafi hain.

Objection 6 : Kaafir ki bhi bigdi ban jaati hai, Teri bhi muraad bhar aati hai
Reply: Meri to Muraad beshak poori hoti hain magar Uski bigdi aur badtar ho jaayegi.. Kyunki use uska jhoota khuda kabhi faida nahi pohoncha sakta hai ye Hum Musalmaano ka Aqeeda hai aur Hamara Sacha NABI aur WALI, ALLAH ki Ataa se hamein zaroor faaida pohonchaate hain. ALHAMDULILLAH !

Objection 7 : Jab koi farq hai nahi To tera KHUDA aur kaafir ka bhagwaan alag kyun hai?
Reply: Farq tujhe nahi lagta Aye Wahaabi! Mera KHUDA Saccha hai aur uska Jhoota! Farq teri soch mein hain ki tu Ma'azAllah uske Jhoote khuda ko ALLAH ke sacche NABIYON aur WALIYON se mila raha hain. Laanat ho aisi soch par...

Objection 8 : Tere NABI to masjid jaate the, Phir Tu Mazaar pe kyun jaata hai?
Reply: kyun ki Mere NABI ne Mazaar par jaane ki bhi Ijaazat di hai. Is liye Main Masjid bhi Jaata hun aur Mazaar par bhi.
Hadees: Hazrat Burida (radiyallahu anhu) se riwaayat hain ki HUZOOR صلی اللہُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ ne farmaya: " Main Tumhe ziyaarat e Quboor se manaa kiya karta tha, pas ab ziyaarat kiya karo" [Sahih Muslim, kitab ul Janaiz]
Ab bata tu NABI ke Hukm aur Sunnat par amal karta hai yaa Main?

Objection 9 : Tere NABI ne to dua ke liye upar haath uthaye, To Tu kyun Qabr se chimat ta hai?
Reply: Kyun ki Mere NABI, ALLAH ki Ataa se Madad Karte hain. Kyunki Sahabi Abu Ayub Ansari Mere NABI ki Qabr se Chimat te the.

Hadees: Hazrat Malik Daar riwaayat karte hain ki Hazrat Umar ke zamaane mein log qahat mein mubtila ho gaye. Phir ek Sahabi HUZOOR صلی اللہُ علیہِ و آلہِ وسلمِ ki Qabr e Anwar par haazir huwe aur Arz kiya "ya RasoolAllah apni qaum k liye barish ke dua kijiye, nahi to wo halaak hojayenge" iske baad huzoor iske kwaab me tashreef laye aur arz ki "umar ke paas jao aur salam pahunchaou, phir barish k bheje jane ki mubarak baad do. (Dalail Nubuwah 7:47), (hafid ibn Kathir al bidaya wal nihaya 7:91-92) (mahfoom e hadees)
Ek riwaayat me kuch alfaaz ki tabdilee k saat iska baad ka waqaya bhi darjzail hai. Jisme hazrath umar ne khushkhabri sunne k baad logon ko jama kiya aur Hazrat al abbas aur huzoor k wasile se dua mangee. (Tabaris Tarikh 2:509, aisehee hazrath e umme aisha siddiqua radiallahu k zamaane me qahat padha to aapne huzoor k hujre mubarak ki chat me khidki khulwaee(jo aaj bhi mawjood hy) take Qabre Anwar se aasmaan saaf ho phir itni barish huwi ki har taraf hariyali hogayee aur janwar mote hogaye. (Mahfoo e hadith, Sunan Darimi Volume 001, Page 227, Hadith Number 093.)

Objection:5 ki hadith ko bhi refer karain jahan hazrath ayub Ansari ra, mazare aqdas per apna chahra mal rahe they.

Allah hamey haq sunne, aur uss par amal karne ke toufiq ata farmaye. Aameen

THE IMPORTANCE OF LOVING OUR PARENTS

Disobedience to ones father is disobedience to Allah Almighty, and displeasure of the father, is displeasure of Allah Qahaar. If a person keeps his parents pleased, then that is his Jannat(Heaven), and if he displeases them, then this is hell. Until a person does not gain the pleasure of his parents, neither are his Fard or his Nafil actions accepted in actuality.

Such persons will not only be faced with punishment in the hereafter, but they shall face great hardships even in this world. Allah forbid, but for such persons, there fear of not having the opportunity of reciting the Kalima on their deathbed.

The Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam said, “Obedience to Allah is through Obedience to ones father, and Allah’s displeasure is through the displeasure of one’s father.”

In another Hadith, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam said, “Pleasure of Allah is in the pleasure of the father, and displeasure of Allah is in the displeasure of the father.”

In one narration, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam said, “Parents are either your Heaven or your Hell.”

In one Hadith the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam said, “The father is the middle door, from all the doors of Jannat. Now if you desire, then your may lose this door or keep it protected.”

The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam also said, “Three persons will not enter Heaven:
One who disobeys his parents, a fornicator and a woman who dresses like a man.”

Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam said, “The punishment for all sins, Allah will give in the hereafter, but that of one who disrespects his parents. He starts receiving his punishment whilst on earth.”

It is in one narration, that there was a young man who on his deathbed could not recite the Kalima. This message came to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam who went to him and reminded him of the Kalima, and he replied by saying that he could not recite it (even though he tried). It was then confirmed that his mother was displeased with him. After gaining her pleasure (forgiveness), then only was he able to recite the Kalima.

O Muslims! After reading these Ahadith-e-Mubaaraka, you decide whether you are amongst those who are obedient to your parents or those who are disobedient?

If you are obedient, then definitely your soul must have received great pleasure after reading the Ahadith of Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam. If you feel that you have been disobedient, then there is still time.

Become Conscious! Repent in the Court of Almighty Allah, by using the Wasila of Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam and please and make happy your parents, so as to protect your worldly life and your life in the hereafter from destruction. May Almighty Allah bless us all with the guidance to please our parents always. Aameen

Description of the Beloved Prophet's Blessed Physic

: Description of the Beloved Prophet's Blessed Physic

It is impossible to turn a blind eye to the fact that Beloved Prophet Muhammad (Praise and Peace be upon Him) is the most worthy and the greatest of all mankind, and that he is the most perfect of all, adorned with the most excellent virtues and qualities.

وأحسن منك لم تر قط عيني
I haven’t seen the lovely personality like you

وأجمل منك لم تلد النساء
And no mother have given birth to such a wonderful personality

خُلِقْتَ مبرءاً من كل عيب
You are created free from every fault

كأنك قد خُلِقْتَ كما تشاء
You were created, as you wanted to be

His physical description and character have been reported by many of his Companions and he was the most handsome man ever created, surpassing Prophet Yousuf (Alayhis Salam) for whom the women of the city cut their hands,

And when she heard of their secret talk, she sent for them and prepared cushioned mattresses for them and gave a knife to each one of them and said to Yusuf, "Come out before them!" When the women saw him they praised him and cut their hands, and said, "Purity is to Allah - this is no human being; this is not but an honorable angel!" [Surah al-Yousuf, Verse 31]

Beloved Prophet's Physical Description
His complexion was radiant.
His eyes were black... deep... widely set and naturally mascaraed with a slight tinge of pink... accentuated by long eyelashes.
His nose was distinctive.
His teeth evenly spaced.
His face was round with a broad forehead.
His beard was thick and reached his chest.
As for his chest and abdomen they were equal in size.
His shoulders were broad as was his chest.
His bones were large as were his arms.
The palms of his hands were thick as were the soles of his feet.
His fingers were long and his skin tone fair.
The hair between his chest and navel was fine.
He was of medium stature... however, when a tall person walked by his side the Prophet (Praise and Peace be upon Him) appeared to be the taller.
As for his hair it was neither curly nor straight.
When he laughed his teeth were visible like a flash of lightning or they have been described as white as hailstones.
His neck was balanced, neither broad nor fat, as for his body it was firm and did not lack firmness.

Sayings of the N0ble Companions
about the beloved Prophet's blessed Physic

The following sayings are but a fraction of the multi narrations of the Companion's description of the Prophet (Praise and Peace be upon Him) although they are but a sampling, they are sufficient to convey the perception of his handsomeness. Everyone who met him said they had never seen anyone like him.

When the Companion Sayyiduna Bar'a Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu saw a lock of the Prophet's hair resting on his red robe he commented,

ما رأيت من ذي لمة في حلة حمراء أحسن من رسول
"I have never seen anyone with a more beautiful lock of hair than his resting on a red robe."

The Blessed and Fragrant Hairs of Beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Aalihi wa Sallam)

The beloved companion of the Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) Hadrat Anas (Radi Allahu Anhu) states,

لما كان اليوم الذى دخل فيه رسول الله المدينة أضاء منها كل شىء
"The day on which Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) arrived in Madinatul Munawwara. It was His Noor through which every thing in Madinatul Munawwarah became bright."

Ibn Asakir narrates from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Ayeshah Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha:

كنت أخيط في السحر فسقطت مني الابرة فطلبتها فلم أقدر عليها فدخل رسول الله فتبينت الإبرة بشعاع نور وجهه
"I was sewing when the needle fell. Despite searching, I was unable to find it. It was just then that the Messenger of Allah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) came. From the light emanating from the Prophet's blessed face, I was able to see the needle.." [Khasais al-Kubra, Vol. 1, Page 109 | Sharha Shifa Hashiya Naseem ar-Riyadh]

None like you was ever seen or created; Authority stands in your person consummated!!

Someone asked Jabir Ibn Samura Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho,

كان وجهه مثل السيف ؟ فقال : لا ، بل مثل الشمس ، والقمر ، وكان مستديرا
"Was his face like a sword?" He replied, "No, it was like the sun and the moon, and round."[Sahih Muslim, Vol. 4, Page 1823]

Umm Ma'bad Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha, the lady from whom the description of the Prophet (Praise and Peace be upon Him) was more profuse, said,

أجمل الناس من بعيد ، وأحلاه ، وأحسنه من قريب
"Even from a distance he was the most beautiful of people, and as he drew near it was apparent that he was the most handsome." [Dalail an-Nabuwwah lil Bayhaqi, Vol. 1, Page 279]

Abi Hala's son said,

يتلألأ وجهه تلألؤ القمر ليلة البدر
"His face glowed like the full moon." [Shamail Tirmidhi, Page 21]

Your face is as bright as the full moon; Let your grace and light fall on me soon!!

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu states,

إذا تكلم رئى كالنور يخرج من بين ثناياه
"When the Beloved of Allah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) used to speak then Noor could be seen emerging from between his blessed teeth."

The fourth khalifa of Islam, Hadrat Sayyiduna Mawla Ali al-Murtuda (may Allah honor his face), said at the end of his description of the Prophet (Praise and Peace be upon Him)

من رآه بديهة هابه ، ومن خالطه معرفة أحبه ، يقول ناعته : لم أر قبله ، ولا بعده مثله
"Anyone who came upon him by chance became filled with timidity towards of him and those who kept company with him loved him." [Shamail Tirmidhi, Page 21]

May Allah illuminate my heart and yours, and increase our love for this Noble Prophet (Praise and Peace be upon Him) and keep us firm on the righteous path of Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah... Aameen!!
